DARK ELDAR AMBUSH

Mission Briefing:

Escaping the onslaught of the Imperial Guard, the Space Marines retreated in the direction of their ship. To their horror, the Dark Eldar cut off their retreat, waiting for a chance to strike. They have ambushed the retreating Space Marines and locked them in a bloody battle.

Points: 500

Marines Objectives:

Survive the ambush and reach escape ship.

Dark Eldar Objectives:

Destroy and/or capture the Space Marines.

RESULTS:

Fleeing from the battle just fought with the Imperial Guard and hoping to get the Space Wolves unit to help, suddenly the marines were ambushed by the Dark Eldar Wyches unit, with it's incredibly strong leader, a Succubus. After long and tactical battle, the space marines were annihilated, and the remaining survivors taken away in void ships. The Dark Eldar aircraft and sheer numbers were proven superior on the already weakened marine squad, and the Dark Eldar Wych leader was able to cut down even the marine's vehicle. This was a substantial blow to the Space Marines.

Known for their barbaric life and tactics as well as sadistic nature and the use of drugs, the Dark Eldar have ingested performance-enhancing drugs to boost up their tolerance to pain levels. In close quarters, even though the marines were stronger, the Dark Eldar units felt no pain. Thus, they were still able to fight with sometimes mortal wounds. Their toughness was significantly boosted up, which in the end was one of the major factors in winning the battle.
